Woman in UK has beard since she was 16

Harnaam Kaur, a UK-based Indian, is suffering from Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, an endocrine system disorder that can cause major hormonal imbalances. It became so irritating for Kaur, a ready-to-be bride that caused her to start sprouting facial hair when she was just 11.

“I used to have my face waxed two to three times a week,” she said, adding “I couldn’t bare the pain, so I would simply shave.” Despite growing up in a supportive home, she admits that she often resorted to self-harm.
