OnePlus 2 launch date revealed, will be streamed live in virtual reality
OnePlus is really taking the market by a surprise. With the first handset being a flagship killer and launching it as a low-priced, premium high-end smartphone, OnePlus created quite a buzz. Now with the second smartphone ready to run out of their stable, this one is also expected to be a flagship killer.
OnePlus has been slowly revealing the specifications of the next flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 2, on their blog. It is the first time any smartphone manufacturer has been leaking out the specifications of their upcoming flagship product to create impatience within the in industry. The first information they spilled out was that the OnePlus 2 will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. The second one confirmed a Type-C USB connector for charging and data transfer. The next one was that the launch will be witnessed by all fans and followers using a virtual reality cardboard headset as the event will be streamed live. Fans can watch the virtual reality video on the cardboard headsets that can be won or bought on Amazon for Rs 99 (Available on July 3, 2015). This week, they announced a fingerprint scanner on the handset.
Now the final date for the launch has been revealed and the event will be streamed live over the internet. Come July 27, 2015, OnePlus will raise the curtains from the OnePlus 2, the next awaited flagship killer.

‘Are you guys getting HYPED? In case you missed our announcement last week, we are doing the entire OnePlus 2 launch in virtual reality. That means you’ll be able to see the team presenting the successor to the Flagship Killer in all of its immersive, 360 glory (as well as some hidden Easter eggs for you to uncover). On July 27, 2015, the OnePlus 2 will be the first product to be unveiled in this exciting new format. And, of course, we want our fans to be there.
We already discussed the how and the why in this post here, but now we have something special for you. We created our own custom OnePlus Cardboard headsets, specially designed for the One and fitting any smartphone up to 6”.
