Chennai: DMK treasurer MK Stalin has been caught on camera slapping a passenger in the Chennai metro. The DMK leader's video that was shot on Wednesday has gone viral.
In the video, Stalin is seen slapping a man who reportedly is a party worker. The man was standing alongside Stalin when the leader smacked him in the face, gesturing at hime to move to a distance. The DMK has denied the charges against Stalin, saying he just gestured to the man to move away from the women who were seated.
However, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has condemned the incident.
Later, Stalin clarified the man was blocking the way and had stepped on people's feet. “I was directing him to an emptier space and didn’t mean to slap him,” Stalin said.
