Karnataka Lokayukta corruption case: Ashwin Rao’s counsel says FIR could be quashed
'We have been directed to produce the certified copy of the FIR in the next hearing'
Bengaluru: “We don’t know at whose instance the FIR was registered at 12 noon when the matter was moved in the High court at 10.30 am and was heard at 12 noon. At 2.30 pm, we again submitted to the court that we had learned that an FIR had been registered, though we did not have a certified copy. The court reiterated that in the earlier order they had prohibited any in-house investigation and therefore that should cover the present situation as well. We have been directed to produce the certified copy of the FIR in the next hearing. The FIR too could be quashed by the court,” says Ashwin Rao’s counsel.
