I decided to call it quits: Kreshna
Actor Kreshna, brother of director Vishnuvardhan, has filed for divorce from his wife Hemalatha at the family court. Kreshna, who has acted in films like Kazhugu, Ali Baba, Kattradhu Kalavu and Yaamirukka Bayame, says that the dispute between his wife and him started barely two months after their marriage in 2014. “She came up with lot of impractical expectations and when eventually disappointed, she started picking quarrels even for small issues. After our marriage, we started living in my parents’ house. But she could not adjust with my parents and started torturing us all.
She went to the extent of badmouthing them. Eventually, we decided to move out of the house and live separately. I moved to an independent house. But things worsened and she started accusing me of false things. Her arguments were devoid of facts.”One hears that the couple hardly ever lived together. Though he did not want to divulge much, Kreshna said, “Despite several problems between us, my parents and I wanted to make our marriage work. But neither her parents nor she bothered to respond to our repeated requests.
Every time we called her parents to settle things amicably, they wouldn’t turn up for the meeting. She had also filed a false dowry harassment case and even approached the Tamil Film Producers Council for our family problem! I thought enough is enough and it is high time I called it quits. Hence I filed a case at the city family court seeking a divorce.” The actor added, “I believe in our judicial system. All I want a peaceful separation,” he signs off.
