The ‘male’ (rain) girl of Sandalwood, who rose to stardom with one of the most successful movies in the industry — Mungaru Male, is facing rough weather! First, after an unsuccessful start to Pooja Gandhi’s political career, her debut production venture faced several legal hurdles including plagiarism charges, for which she reportedly paid some amount. By then, she was also facing a personal crisis after she officially called off her engagement. This followed with Pooja’s debut movie (which took a long time to hit the screens), failing to create any impact at the box office.
While she was coping with her bad luck, she was booked in a rash driving case. Now, the latest to rock her life is accusations of cheating by actor-producer Sharma. He had recently complained to the film chamber that Pooja has failed to return Rs 1 crore which she had borrowed from him, to facilitate the release of Abhinetri. However, Mr Sharma has no documentary evidence to back his claim, and the actress vehemently denied such claims while terming that attempts are made to tarnish her image. More than her movies, the frequent twist and turns in Pooja’s real life is grabbing more attention these days.
