If we go by what sources say, Nivin Pauly, who made his Kollywood debut with Neram, will feature in Tamil and Malayalam remakes of the Kannada movie Ulidavaru Kandante. The movie was set against the backdrop of the Janmashtami festival and released last year.
There had been speculations that filmmaker Gautham Menon would be directing it. However, nothing has been finalised yet. There were also rumours that Gautham had plans to rope in either Nivin Pauly or Fahadh Faasil for his Malayalam debut.
A huge fan of Gautham, in one of his interviews, Nivin had told that he would love to do a film with Gautham. It’s heard that the director made a visit to Kochi recently to discuss a project with the two actors. Gautham had earlier expressed his interest in making a Malayalam film with Mohanlal.
