Cheteshwar Pujara to lead India ‘A’ squad
Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund and wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha also get a chance
New Delhi: Rahul Dravid goes into his first assignment as India A coach for a brace of four-day games against Australia A with the selectors handing leadership of the squad to middle-order stalwart Cheteshwar Pujara.
The Saurashtra stylist will lead a 15-member team for the two games that will be played in Chennai between July 22 and 25, and July 29 and August 1. Alongside Karnataka’s Lokesh Rahul and Karun Nair, Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer made the cut. The fast bowing is in the hands of the reunited Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav, Ahimanyu Mithun and a newer face in Mumbai seamer Shardul Thakur.
Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund and wicketkeeper-batsman Naman Ojha also get a chance to make their presence felt.
