Hyderabad: The security of women is a matter of high priority for the government, Telangana transport minister Patnam Mahender Reddy said here. He said the She Shuttle will be extended to other parts of Telangana.
“The government will explore the possibilities of extending women special transport services to other parts of the state," he said while launching the She Shuttle on Monday.
IT minister K.T. Rama Rao said the She Shuttle is the first of its kind in the country.
“This special service, which would ensure the safety of women professionals, is unheard of India so far,” said Mr Rao.
He added that the government would sanction four air conditioned buses to the existing fleet.
Congratulating the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) Cyberabad police commissioner C.V. Anand said the SCSC delivered results within a short period of time.
