Joint Seat Allocation Authority to conduct web counselling today
Hyderabad: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has once again deferred the web counselling process for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology, National Institutes of Technology and other central institutions.
Counselling, earlier scheduled for Monday, will now begin on Tuesday, June 30. Seat acceptance in round three of the counselling has been trimmed to three days now instead of the earlier four days to compensate for the loss.
However, academic sessions will commence from the same dates as earlier decided. This is the second time the JoSAA has been forced to postpone counselling due to non-availability of JEE Main ranks.
“JoSAA is forced to revise the schedule once again since CBSE has not yet announced the JEE (Main) 2015 Paper-1 and Paper-2 ranks,” a JoSAA release stated. JEE advanced ranks have already been declared. But since this year JoSAA is holding joint counselling for IITs, NITs and other institutions.
