The sci-fi flick Indru Netru Naalai opened recently to rave reviews, and its success has been considered as encouraging for filmmakers interested in exploring different genres. Reportedly, the filmmakers are now planning a sequel for the film, which has Vishnu Vishal, Karunakaran and Mia George in pivotal roles.
CV Kumar, producer of the movie, confirmed the same, and said, “The idea of a sequel for the movie was there in our minds and director Ravikumar has a story line too. My production company is currently busy with films like Mirchi Siva’s 144, the Vijay Sethupathi-Nalan Kumarasamy film, Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi, etc. We might commence the shooting of the sequel after finishing these projects.”
The grapevine has it that the sequel may have a bigger star. Interestingly, Arya played a cameo in the movie, and there was speculation that he would have a role. Quiz him about this and he reveals, “It’s true that we have plans to rope in a bigger star for the movie. However, it is too early to say anything about the lead cast. The film will be big in terms of production scale and will have more intriguing sequences.”
