Lecturer beats up latecomer in Hyderabad

The Commission took a serious note of the incident and ordered an inquiry
Hyderabad: A junior Intermediate student was beaten up severely by his lecturer for coming late to class at the Narayana Junior Residential College, Madinaguda. The boy who suffered injuries on his back was denied justice at the police station also. Finally, the student approached the State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights.
The Commission took a serious note of the incident and ordered an inquiry. The student, Md Saad Pasha, a resident of Charminar, joined Narayana Junior Residential College at Madinaguda for Intermediate after SSC.
He shifted to the hostel a few days ago. As it is Ramzan season Pasha was on fast and used to go out everyday for Namaz.
“After Namaz on Friday he came late to class and also forgot his pen at the hostel. The mathematics lecturer who was teaching hit him and there were scars all over his back,” said the victim’s sister.
When Pasha informed his parents they approached the Miyapur police to complain. But to their shock the police abused the victim. However, the police denied the allegations.
“We spoke to the student and his sister. Based on that we registered a case and investigation is on,” said Miyapur inspector K. Ramesh.
