Kerala to run hospital set up by Mahatma Gandhi University
Kochi: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Sunday said that the state government will bear the expenses of the hospital being established on the campus of the Puthuppally Thalappady Inter-University Centre for Biomedical Education.
The Chief Minister said this while inaugurating the four storey building built at a cost of Rs 9.5 crore for the Inter-University Centre for Biomedical Research and Superspecialty Hospital at Thalappady.
The MG University was forced to start the hospital and research centre when it could not find a way out for the clinical practice for the students of its School of Medical Education.

The Chief Minister said that he has asked the university to continue running the Angamaly SME unit.
