Four students drown in Visakhapatnam tank
The bodies were shifted KG Hospital for post-mortem
Visakhapatnam: Four students, including two brothers, drowned after slipping into a local tank at Narsapuram under Padbanabham police station limits in Vizag city on Sunday.
The children, aged between 12 and 14 years, had gone to the Pekkala Cheruvu to bathe after playing cricket at a nearby ground, when they slipped into the water and drowned. A passer-by noticed a cricket bat and clothes on the bank of the tank and suspecting something was wrong. He alerted the villagers.
Padmanabham police led by inspector S. Kanta Rao rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies with the help of locals. The bodies were shifted KG Hospital for post-mortem and a case under Section 174 of CrPC was booked.
