Bengaluru: Two motorbikes collide, two charred to death
According to the police, the horrific accident took place around 7.45 pm
Bengaluru: In a horrific accident two people were burnt alive while one got critically injured after two bikes collided head-on near Channenahalli village near Tavarekere on Magadi Road in Ramanagar district on Sunday evening. One of the deceased has been identified as Sampath (35), a resident of Magadi Taluk while the identities of other two is yet to be ascertained.
According to the police, the horrific accident took place around 7.45 pm. The two bikes were said to be speeding and the head on collision resulted in a spark and the petrol tanks of both the vehicles exploded. The two riders were charred to death. The pillion rider got tossed in the air and sustained grievous head injuries. The bodies were sent to R.R. Hospital for post-mortem and the pillion rider has been shifted to a nearby hospital.
Listening to a loud sound, a crowd gathered at the spot, but they could not held the two motorists, who got charred instantly. Senior traffic police officials rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
According to the traffic police, fire personnel rushed to the spot and doused the fire. It took nearly an hour to clear the traffic jam. The police are trying to establish the identity of the other deceased and the injured pillion rider. Tavarekere police have registered a case.
