Bengaluru: Save Lokayukta Institution Action Forum to fight against corruption

Bengaluru: Various organisations have jointly launched ‘Save Lokayukta Institution Action Forum’ to fight against the alleged corruption in the anti-corruption agency. The forum was launched in an event held at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday.
The members of the forum decided to collectively fight and organise protests against the alleged corruption in Lokayukta and demanded immediate resignation of Lokayukta Justice Y Bhaskar Rao.
The members also demanded that the state government should hand over the case to the CBI for an impartial probe. They said that leaders cutting across party lines should come forward to fight corruption in the Lokayukta. Former minister S K Kanta, who inaugurated the forum, said that he would approach the Governor and request him to intervene in the matter.
JD (U) leader M.P. Nadagouda, retired SP Nagaraj, conveners of the forum B.N. Shivakumar and J.N. Jayashree and others took part.
