RSS plans to show them that a cure for this debilitating disease is possible through yoga

Lucknow: After the BJP, it is now the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) which will now make an attempt to carry forward the popularity of Yoga. The RSS plans to hold special yoga camps for diabetic patients and show them that a cure for this debilitating disease is possible through yoga.
“There is already awareness about yoga after the International Yoga Day and we are simply carrying forward the task. A vast population in the country is, today, suffering from diabetes and through these camps; we want to help the people overcome the problem with Yoga,” said RSS functionary Pra-shant Bhatia.
To begin with four camps are being held in Lucknow in localities like Arya Samaj Mandir in Singar Nagar; Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Indira Nagar, Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Aliganj and Bharti Shishu Mandir in Tikait Rai Talab. Interestingly, all these four centres are considered to be strongholds of the RSS and will cover over 185 shakhas.
According to the RSS functionary, the participants will first be tested for diabetes and then will be enrolled for Yoga classes. “The participants will again be tested for their sugar level after one week of Yoga classes so that the difference or decrease in sugar level is visible. The tests are also free of cost as several doctors have volunteered for this,” said Mr Bhatia.
