Now, Uttar Pradesh police look for missing hens!
Lucknow: After tracking buffaloes, the Uttar Pradesh police are now busy hunting for hens. Farhanullah, is a Samajwadi Party leader and lives in Mohalla Bangla Azad Khan in Rampur district. On March 21, about a dozen hens belonging to the SP leader were stolen and he promptly lodged a police complaint in this regard.
The police apparently did not make ‘sincere efforts’ to trace his missing hens so Farhanullah sent an email to Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik, seeking his intervention in the matter. After about three months, the Governor responded to his email on Friday saying that he had written to local officials for action in the matter.
The Kotwali police, after receiving the directives from Raj Bhawan, have launched a manhunt for the missing hens. SHO Harish Chandra Joshi said that investigations in the matter had started and the missing hens would soon be tracked down.
It may be recalled that in January last year, seven buffaloes belonging to senior Uttar Pradesh minister Mohd Azam Khan had been stolen and the police force of the entire Rampur district took only 36 hours to trace the buffaloes in Moradabad and the man who stole the buffaloes, Chunnan, was finally arrested last week.
Meanwhile, former DGP Vikram Singh told reporters that it was ‘unfortunate’ that the Raj Bhawan was giving directives in such matters when several cases of heinous crime in Uttar Pradesh had remained unsolved.
