Blow for Yeddyurappa, Karnataka High Court refuses to stay FIRs
Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Friday issued notice to Lokayukta police following petition by former chief minister and BJP Vice-President B.S. Yeddyurappa seeking to quash three FIR registered against him in three separate cases, recently by the Lokayukta police.
While the court refused the stay, at this stage, the proceedings against him in these cases, the court issued notice to the Lokayukta police.Mr Yeddyurappa has approached the high court seeking to quash the three FIRs.
The Lokayukta police investigating illegal land denotification cases had registered three more FIRs against the former chief minister on Monday. They were filed in connection with alleged illegal denotification of 2.36 acres of land in Banashankari, four acres of land in Valagerahalli, and two acres of land in Rachenahalli.
