Not scared, but proud of Baahubali: Mahesh Babu
Mahesh Babu, ahead of Srimanthudu’s release
Hyderabad: Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu, directed by Koratala Siva and co-starring Shruti Haasan, was postponed to August 7 though it was supposed to be released on July 17, a week after Baahubali.
So, was the film pushed back due to the effect Baahubali might have had on its chances of success? “The success of Baahubali is very crucial to our industry and everybody should pray for its success. The postponement of my film’s release is not at all because we were scared about Baahubali’s release,” said the actor during an event on Thursday.
“It’s good to maintain two to three weeks’ gap between two big films. Moreover, every film lover should be proud of Baahubali and it needs a solo release,” added Mahesh Babu.
