'No allegation of corruption against any minister in Modi government' says M Venkaiah Naidu
Chandigarh: Amid BJP government facing heat over Lalit Modi controversy, the Centre on Friday said there is no allegation of any corruption against any minister serving in Narendra Modi government.
Asserting that the BJP government was pursuing agenda of "development and good governance", Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu charged the Opposition with playing politics over the issue, saying everybody knows what happened during "previous Congress regime".

"There is no allegation of any corruption against any minister in Modi government and the government is doing an excellent job. (there is) no scam and no scandal (in BJP government)," Naidu said while talking to reporters here on Friday.

He was asked to respond on the controversy surrounding Lalit Modi wherein Congress demanded resignation of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

"Some people want to play politics on each and every thing and let them they play politics. We are focusing our attention on development, speedy development and we are more concerned about the welfare of people. The law is there it will take its own course," he further said.

However, he did not reply when he was asked whether Raje will resign.

"We do not want to be involved in any confrontation. Everybody knows it what happened during their tenure," Naidu said while taking a jibe at previous Congress led regime without naming it.

"Our government is running as per democratic system and Constitution and we are committed to it," said Naidu who is Urban Development minister.

Union Minister asserted that after the Modi government came into power, country's GDP grew and economy started coming back on track.
