Watch: Wedding mare who brought Mumbai traffic to a halt
Mumbai: She was supposed to be at a wedding, but she took off and never bothered about the wedding procession. Heading towards Bandra Worli Sea Link, she left her companions far behind.
Payal, the ghodi ran away on 23rd April on her way to a wedding function, where she was suppose to convey the groom.
Covering 413 feet in Mumbai’s traffic at its peak, Payal left everyone behind on her way- a shop owner, a fractured jockey, policemen, sweepers and toll collector, who were too stunned to react.
No one saw her coming until she crossed the toll plaza. No one was injured nor Payal caused any major security threat. The camera at sea link recorded her footage making her way through dozens of cars.

On April 23rd a BMC garabage truck scared Payal, when the truck driver sounded the horn. The truck came forward very close to Payal and she threw the jockey away and ran off.
Vijay Chulaisa, Payal’s owner has decided to take her back to countryside. Payal has worked in Hindi television serial Maharana Pratap and has also endorsed in few newspaper advertisements.
