Six fishermen go missing as boat is disabled in sea
No one was rescued till now as their location could not be found
Vijayawada: In the search for six fishermen, who went on missing after their boat got disabled in sea due to a technical glitch, no one was rescued till now as their location could not be found after the search. The state government had deployed four helicopters and two navy boats to find them. The six fishermen, reportedly went fishing on June 15. After facing a technical glitch and sought to be rescued on June 16. Moving to rescue, the owner of the boat, Odugu Vasantha Rao sent another boat to find the missing boat.
Unluckily, the second boat was also lost and the search began on June 17. “We lost contact with our second boat too as it had the same problem. We are also searching for the six missing fishermen,” said owner of the boats Mr Vasantha Rao. The families are worried about their location and praying for their safe return.
During the visit of minister Kollu Ravaindra, he ordered all the officials to find out about the missing fishermen as early as possible. He further said all the 4000 fishing families
will be provided 4000 rupees per month during in the odd times of fishing. Sikam Nagur (43) and Tirumani Nagaraju(25) were in the boat along with four more other.
