It is no secret that Rajinikanth’s Lingaa suffered loss at the box-office. Since the release of the movie, it had been surrounded by controversies. If we go by what sources say, those controversies will be fictionalised into a spoof of the movie in which comedian Powerstar Srinivasan will play the lead.
The movie will be made like Tamil Padam, without hurting the sentiments of anybody associated with it. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. Looks like this movie will be produced by one of the distributors of Lingaa, Singaravelan. Further information is still awaited. The KS Ravikumar-directed Lingaa hit screens last year on Rajinikanth’s birthday.
The movie was actually made to satisfy the actor’s fans and was an attempt to bring back the Rajini of the 90s, when every film crossed the milestone of 100 days in his career. After a group of distributors demanded compensation for their losses, Rajinikanth had to intercede, and was made to pay Rs10 crore.
