Visakhapatnam: The AP government appears to have decided to take the issue of implementation of Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act in Hyderabad, to every nook and corner of the state.
Ministers have upped the ante demanding implementation of Section 8. At a round table meeting organised on Section 8, social welfare minister Ravela Kishore Babu linked its implementation to the self respect of Andhra people and the state’s development.
“There is no security to properties of Andhra people in Hyderabad. Our buildings are being bulldozed. Until we build a new capital, governance should be from the joint capital where we feel insecure due to the activities of the Telangana CM and the government there. For the development of AP we need to work in a peaceful and healthy atmosphere for which implementation of Section 8 is the only solution. We lack freedom in the joint capital and we need assurance of our well being and security in Hyderabad. Section 8 implementation is also linked to self respect of Andhra people. All these issues are interlinked with the implementation of Section 8,” said Mr Kishore Babu.
