AMRUT to help regain past glory
Nizamabad: People of Nizamabad city are hoping to regain their glory with the implementation of Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) implementation in the near future. Central government announced the new scheme for cities, which included Nizamabad in Telangana state.
CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao assured that Nizamabad will be developed as a Smart City soon. During his visit to the city last month, he reviewed the development works and welfare schemes along with Municipal Corporation officials.
It is believed that the new scheme would improve the basic amenities in the city and develop infrastructure. Municipal corporation officials have already prepared an action plan for comprehensive development of the city. Following the funds released under AMRUT scheme, the work will be implemented fast. Nizamabad is third biggest city in the state and it has high potential for development. During the Nizam’s regime, the town had good road connectivity, drainage system, and other facilities.
