Three SSC students on Wednesday attempted suicide by consuming pesticide

Anantapur: Under pressure from their parents, three SSC students on Wednesday attempted suicide by consuming pesticide at Venganapalli village in Yadiki mandal of the district.
The trio — K. Chandrasekhar Reddy, Raja Reddy and B. Nageswar Reddy —are close friends and study at the government high school. They were reluctant to attend classes and were disinterested in studying. The school authorities informed their parents who warned them.
The trio mixed pesticides in cool drink bottles and consumed it. Shepherds noticed the trio and informed the villagers. They were rushed to the general hospital in Anantapur where they were to Kurnool and later to Bengaluru. Sources said that their condition is now stable.
