‘Tiger is my best after Prasthanam’

I did this character because I loved it - Sundeep Kishan

Sundeep Kishan is confident about his upcoming film Tiger, in which he plays one of the lead roles along with Rahul Ravindran. “I have no female lead and I will appear on screen just before the first half ends. I did this character because I loved it. It’s a good performance-oriented character. This is my best after Prasthanam,” says the actor.

“The film’s subject is based on a true incident that happened to a Telugu person in Varanasi,” he says. Sundeep got along very well with Rahul even off-screen. “He is my best friend. We enjoyed a lot while shooting,” he says.

For preparing for the role, Sundeep spent a few days in cities like Rajahmundry and Guntur to observe people. “There are a few people who look rough, but are soft inside. I even observed their outfits and I have taken care of it in this film,” he says, adding that he had even got a six-pack for the film, but unfortunately it was edited out. “Tagore Madhu and N.V. Prasad are big producers in the industry. I’ve worked for the third time with my uncle, cinematographer Chota K. Naidu. Because of my uncle, I can say that the film was completed within the budget,” he says.

Interestingly, Rakul Preet and Regina Cassandra have also promoted this film using Sundeep’s dialogues in Dubsmash. “I have a few very close friends like Aadi, Rahul, Regina, Rakul and Brahma Ji, and now Rashi Khanna has joined our group. They always encourage and help me,” says Sundeep.
