Mumbai: Thousands of fans were left heartbroken after the news of Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor’s engagement to Delhi-based girl Mira Rajput spread like wildfire.
The couple met through the religious group Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Rumour has it that couple got engaged on January 14, Makar Sankranti. It was initially stated that the couple was to tie the knot in June, however that turned out to be false.
Initially it was also reported that the actor will be having a destination wedding in Greece. However, according to recent reports, the actor will be tying the knot on July 7 and not 10. The wedding will take place in Delhi and will be preceded by a Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony on July 6. The couple will reportedly wear outfits designed by Masaba Gupta. The wedding will be attended by some of the biggest names in the industry including Vishal Bhardwaj, Madhu Mantena, Vikas Bahl.
The wedding will be attended by close friends and family, and will be put up in Hotel Trident, Gurgaon. Reports also state that Shahid will host a wedding reception in Mumbai for a larger crowd at Palladium Hotel, Mumbai.
