Hyderabad: City police busted a high-tech sex racket after raiding a private apartment in MLA Colony in Banjara Hills on Tuesday. Police arrested two organisers and rescued a model from Delhi. Police said Vasanth Patel and Akash Bhatt had been running the brothel for more than a year.
Based on a tip off, the commissioner’s task force West Zone team conducted the raid and nabbed Akash, who was helping Vasanth run the establishment. The sex worker, who came to Hyderabad from Delhi few days ago, was rescued.
“The duo used to bring models from Delhi, Mumbai, and other metros every 10 days. They take Rs 20,000 and more from customers for each visit. They have a list of regular customers,” said Mr Venki Reddy, inspector, commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone.
