Hyderabad High Court to hear Elvis Stephenson case only
Hyderabad: Elvis Stephenson said it was unknown for a public prosecutor to represent an accused, particularly an absconding one, before the court. Maintaining that normally, the case filed by Mr Mathaiah might not have reached the hearing stage on that day, he said when the matter was called at 4 pm on out of turn basis, the court declared that no other matters would be taken up except for this matter.
He said that the court had further stated that all advocates should leave the court hall and had also further warned that if the advocates did not leave, the court would be compelled to pass an order under Section 327 CrPC.
Mr Stephenson said that he had apprehensions about the final outcome of the quash petition in view of the circumstances narrated above and urged the judge to recuse from the hearing.
