Cash for vote scam: Elvis lying, says Jerusalem Mathaiah
Hyderabad: Absconding accused in the ‘cash for vote’ scam Jerusalem Mathaiah stated that he is now taking shelter at his in-laws house in Guntur. He called nominated MLA, Elvis Stephenson’s statement to ACB court a bluff and alleged that Mr Stephenson told him that he was ill treated by TRS and they didn’t consider him an MLA.
“Stephenson’s statement in court is a cock and bull story. When I went to his house he told me that he had bribed Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao Rs 80 lakh and mediators around Rs 40 lakh. In the Nagarjunasagar meeting when he was sitting with TRS MPs and MLAs they made an office boy to tell him to sit outside. Elvis told me ministers and MLAs are not recognising him as an MLA. He asked me to arrange loans at lower interest,” stated Mr Mathaiah.
He added, “Elvis was forced to take part in the operation to lure Revanth Reddy. Was he sold for Rs 5 crore or did he join hands with ACB to foist a false case.”
