Army alerts northeast soldiers

All soldiers will be asked to take extra precautions in view of the reported threat
New Delhi: With the outlawed NSCN (K) having reportedly threatened to put a price on the head of every Indian soldier captured alive in the Northeast, the Indian Army is all set to issue a local alert to soldiers, and more so when they are on leave. Sources said all soldiers will be asked to take extra precautions in view of the reported threat.
Sources said the Army is aware of a message doing rounds on social media, purportedly on behalf on NSCN-K, putting price on the head of every Indian soldier captured alive.
“Local advisories are being issued in view of this, asking the soldiers to be on alert,” defence sources said. Though there is no reported action on NSCN, the Army is not dismissing the hibernation period of the outlawed group.
