‘Posters to create confusion’ - Sanjay Joshi
New Delhi: Former Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Sanjay Joshi on Tuesday issued a clarification after posters, with his photograph along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, reappeared in the national capital.
These posters criticised the Prime Minister for wishing Pakistan and Bangladesh on Ramzan and holding grudges against some senior BJP leaders, including party veteran L.K. Advani and Mr Joshi. In his clarification, Mr Joshi maintained that through such posters there is “an attempt to create confusion” among the BJP leadership and him. Such posters, purportedly put up by Mr Joshi’s supporters, have earlier also left the BJP embarrassed and created controversy.
“Pakistan, Bangladesh ko dete ho Ramzan pe badhai... Sushma, Advani, Sanjay Joshi, Rajnath, Gadkari, Murli Manohar Joshi, Vasundhara ke liye hai mann mein khatai,” the posters read. “Na samwad, na mann ki baat, na sabka sath, na sabka vikas... Phir kyun kare janata aap par vishwas (Why should people believe you when there is no interaction, no thoughts sharing, no development for all),” the posters further read.
