GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music for Vijay’s next film with Atlee, the shooting of which is expected to commence from the first week of July. Apparently there are plans to bring Oscar winner AR Rahman on board to lend his voice for a song. There isn’t any official confirmation about this, but it would be a coup if they managed to bring the veteran in to sing a song for the film.
Interestingly, GV Prakash is Rahman’s nephew and this untitled film marks the former’s 50th film as a composer. Interestingly, Rahman hasn’t sung for other composers till date. He had composed music for Vijay’s Azhagiya Tamizh Magan, a 2007-release and crooned the chartbuster song Ella pugazhum oruvan oruvanukke.
It’s heard that the film will commence with a pooja ceremony at the Kerala House at ECR in a couple of days. It needs to be noted that Atlee’s maiden flick Raja Rani too kicked off with a ceremony at the same venue. Vijay, who is currently on vacation, is expected to join the event.
