Mumbai: In what seems like the next war in tinsel town, between the boy-next-door Imran Khan and filmmaker Rahul Rawail, all hell broke loose.
In a recent interview with a leading daily Imran was seen talking about Rahul, who rose to fame for his films like of 'Love Story', 'Betaab', 'Arjun' and 'Dacait'. When asked about the director Imran said, “Is Rahul Rawail still around?"
Imran also spoke about the incident that suggested Rahul had tried to create trouble between Ranbir Kapoor and him by insinuating that Avantika had passed snide remarks against Ranbir's performance in ‘Raajneeti’. “He was nursing a grudge against Avantika because she'd rejected his Buddha Mil Gaya,” he added.
Meanwhile Rahul’s nephew Rajat Rawail, whom you might have seen making an appearance in Salman Khan films, backfired on a social media post. “Imraan khan needs a reality check. It was Mr. Aamir Khan that went from pillar to post promoting "Jaane Tu..." and his goodwill and credibility got the audience into the theaters. Imraan Khan's claim to fame is "Once upon a time 2" [he ruined the brand franchise built by the stellar performance of Ajay Sir] & "Gori Tere Pyaar Main" which happens to be a landmark disaster in all senses in the solid dharma productions library. Both these above mentioned films are appx loss estimated of Rs 50cr+ to the producers/financiers/distributors."
He further went on to add, "Shahrukh Khan says in Chak De India " Pehle Apni Game Baaki Logon Se Unchi Karo, Phir Apni Aawaz Unchi Karna" _ Its extremely sad to hear Imraan Khan make a statement like this about Mr Rahul Rawail. If his has grand uncle was alive today [the legendry film maker Mr Nasir Hussain, who was a dear friend of Mr Rahul Rawail's father Shri H S Rawail [mere mehboob and laila majnu] he would have put this obstinate, self conceited, disaster of a non actor in his place....Imraan khan needs to know his position in the trade today - he has only made it to the party list, thats it !!!! Today a film with me as a leading man will take a bigger draw then him....now its time for him to piggy back on Kangana Ranaut. " imraan Khan aaj producer ke liye free main mahenga hain !!!”
