Labourer’s son cracks CLAT 2015

Mr Nishanth's parents are both agricultural labourers and he hails from an economically weak background

Hyderabad: N. Nishanth, a 17-year old student of a social welfare school from Bhiknur village in Nizamabad, cracked the CLAT-2015 while bagging the 142nd rank nationally and the second rank in Telangana in the SC category.

Mr Nishanth's parents are both agricultural labourers and he hails from an economically weak background. When contacted, Mr Nishanth was looking for someone to give him a lift back to his hostel in Hyderabad.

He is waiting for his life to change after passing out from the prestigious law university in a few years. His hard work and determination are the factors that helped him get admission into NALSAR. While people pay huge sums of money at coaching centres to prepare for CLAT, Mr Nishanth studied in a school run by the social welfare department of the state government and coaching for him was limited to the 45-day intensive coaching at the government-run centre at Gowlidoddi in Hyderabad.

“I feel proud that I cracked CLAT in the first attempt. Usually, people go for engineering or medical but I wanted to do something different and chose law,” said Nishanth.
