Parents’ petition to find missing son
The parents of a 33-year-old man petitioned the district collector to help find their missing son
Coimbatore: The parents of a 33-year-old man petitioned the district collector to help find their missing son. An inconsolable Anthony Ammal and Selvaraj, while handing over the petition to the collector, said that their son Prem Kumar was missing for the last 23 days. Despite the cops filing an FIR, there has been no progress in the case. Prem Kumar of Puliyakulam left home on June 2 along with his neighbor Raghavan to Chennai who had reportedly promised to get him civil construction work.
On June 3, Raghavan contacted the family and said that Prem Kumar was with him and would return soon. On June 5, Raghavan returned home. As Prem Kumar did not come back, the couple's second son approached Raghavan and asked him about his brother's whereabouts. But Raghavan said that Prem Kumar had taken the bus to Coimbatore from Villupuram on June 3 and he had booked the tickets for him.
The couple checked with all their friends and relatives but he was not traceable anywhere. Hence they lodged a complaint with the B7 police station. But the police have not taken any efforts to trace him, they alleged.
