Samsung went ahead to release a special edition S6 Edge, featuring the Iron Man Edition. The package includes a completely themed variant, bundled with a cool Iron Man themed box, Iron Man themed smartphone skin, Iron Man themed user interface and an Iron Man themed wireless charger.
The Iron Man Edition was launched by Samsung on May 26, 2015, in collaboration with Marvel. Samsung and Marvel have come together in celebration of the technological innovation and creative visual storytelling in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron to introduce this limited edition of the Galaxy S6 edge.

What made news recently is the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition auction held in China. The auction was held by Chinese retailer JD.com where the Iron Man Galaxy S6 edge serial numbered 66 got a staggering 92,429 bids, and was later sold off to the 568,788-Yuan ($91,600) to a Chinese buyer on June 11. In China, the number 6 is known for luck and 66 is considered double lucky. The Iron Man Edition was only launched in South Korea, Hong Kong and China. The actual price of the themed edition is $1079 (approx Rs 65,000). The Iron Man Edition features a bright red paint with gold trims and an Arc Reactor themed wireless charger. Limited editions like these tend to sell at higher prices, especially when scarce. Samsung has manufactured only 1,000 units of the special edition.
