Saikiran was shot dead in a robbery bid in Miami in the United States
Hyderabad: A. Saikiran, 23, the MS student from Kushaiguda, who was shot dead in a robbery bid in Miami in the United States, was cremated in the city on Sunday morning. His body was brought to Hyderabad early on Sunday. Relatives said that Miami police is investigating the homicide.
Following the efforts of his friends, the Telugu Association of North America (NOTA) and the TS government, Saikiran’s body reached his home at Kushaiguda at 1 am on Sunday. The last rites were performed at a cremation ground in Kushaiguda by his parents and relatives. Relatives said that Aravinder Singh, director of protocol, TS Secretariat, NRI section official Chittibabu and NOTA members helped to bring the body.
Sakiran’s uncle Sravan Kumar said the US police is probing the case. “His friends told us that the police has declared a reward of $3,000 for people who help in catching the killers,” he said, adding that they will pursue the case. Saikiran, son of A. Srihari, a resident of Subramanyanagar, went to the US 45 days ago. He was a student of Atlantis, and was living in a private apartment. Four or five armed robbers shot him dead him while he was talking on his iPhone outside his apartment at night.
