Cash-for-vote : Bishop Harry Sebastian played mediator in Revanth Reddy scam

Hyderabad: Bishop Harry Sebastian played the role of mediator in the cash-for-vote scam. “The rumors that it was Garikapati who spoke to Elvis Stephenson before handing over the phone to Mr Chandrababu Naidu are not true. Elvis had categorically stated in his statement that it was Bishop Harry Sebastian who gave the phone to Naidu saying ‘Babu Garu will speak to you’,” said an ACB official.

ACB is now trying to track down another person, one Mr Antony, who was named by Mr Stephenson, who introduced Mr Harry Sebastian to him. Interestingly, Mr Stephenson has wrongly mentioned the name of the MLC candidate as V. Raghavendar Reddy instead of V. Narendar Reddy.

Meanwhile, ACB officials said that the call data record of Mr Harry Sebastian has revealed that Sattupally MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was also in touch with Mr Sebastian. “Sandra Veeraiah was in touch with Sebastian continuously. He is now said to be in Rajahmundry. Both Veeraiah and Jerusalem Mattaiah are in AP and they are crucial to the case,” said an ACB official.
