App to restore public’s faith in police, says AP CM
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said strict implementation of law and order would play a key role in attracting investments to the city as well as creating job opportunities for youth. The CM, while launching the police app ‘4th Lion’ in the city on Sunday, directed the police department to keep abreast with the latest technologies in order to curb crimes in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the law and order issue has a great significance across the world. The CM expressed hopes that the new police app would be a step towards maintaining law and order in the new capital. Declaring that the government would come down heavily on offenders, Mr Naidu suggested the police department to work in an impartial way and spare nobody who indulges in criminal activities.
Speaking about the app, Mr Naidu said that people should make use of it in order to maintain law and order in the capital region. The police App will help gain public's confidence in the police department, added Mr Naidu.
On the occasion, the CM thanked tollywood star Saikumar for endorsing the police app as its brand ambassador. He also flagged off a team of the farmers led by MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani), which started for studying bamboo cultivation in various states throughout the country. Vijayawada police commissioner A.B. Venkateswara Rao and several officials were also present at the event.
