Truck mows down man at Eagle Chowk

A 26-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed after a truck hit him at Ammuguda
Hyderabad: In a hit-and-run case, a 26-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed after a truck hit him at Ammuguda on Sunday night. Tension mounted in the area as locals alleged that the truck belonged to the Army.
The victim was identified as Jayadeep Reddy, a trader from Sainikpuri. Locals and relatives of the victim staged a dharna at the spot and did not allow police officials to take Jayadeep Reddy’s body to hospital. They alleged that the truck had hit the victim’s bike, and the driver had driven away from the spot.
Police officials said that they were yet to confirm whether or not the vehicle belonged to the Army. “Jayadeep Reddy was coming from the Rashtrapati Nilayam road towards Bolarum when the accident occurred. A heavy vehicle dashed into his vehicle and crushed him to death. A serious head injury caused his death on the spot,” said Bolarum SI Mallesh.
The locals alleged that the truck was being driven in a rash and negligent manner.
