Shahid Kapoor will step in as a judge on dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, in place of Madhuri Dixit who has featured on it for the past three years. Speaking about his debut stint as a reality show judge Shahid said, “When I first took up dancing, I had the privilege to work closely with some great mentors who not only honed my dance skills, but also helped me shape my personality. As I join the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa family as a judge, I am looking forward to sharing my lessons and experiences with the contestants. Being a dancer brought discipline to my life and changed it completely. I’m now hoping to transfer some of the knowledge towards shaping the young and talented choreographers of our country.”
Meanwhile, Madhuri said, “I have been on Jhalak for three years now and I am taking a break to focus on other projects. I will be back shortly with probably something even more exciting. I wish Jhalak the very best for a spectacular season.”
