Micro-blogging network Twitter wants to replace stars with hearts for the favourite button on tweets. Twitter is testing out the new change in its android app that features hearts for the ‘favourite’ option. The buttons will now appear in two styles — circled hearts and borderless hearts.
While Facebook tries new changes on all its users, Twitter uses only a small group to introduce the change in order to gauge the response, as has been the case with most of Twitter’s changes that have been rolled out previously.
Twitter investor Chris Sacca had hinted about the change saying ‘bring on the hearts’ in his memo ‘What Twitter can be’ that was released this month.
