Hyderabad: Thief dies on touching transformer wire

Hyderabad: A thief, identified as Vibudhi Anjaneyulu, was electrocuted in the Jai Jawan Colony of Kapra. Vibudhi had targeted the house of one Shyam Raj. “At 10pm, I went out and found the gate of my house to be open. When I checked the verandah, I found one brass water boiler missing. I saw a man carrying the boiler and stopped him,” said Mr Raj. Other residents of the area too joined Mr Raj in questioning the thief and also informed the police.
“Seeing the cops, the thief threatened that he would commit suicide by touching the transformer wire. However, he accidentally did come in contact with the wire and died on the spot,” said Jawaharnagar inspector P. Venkatagiri.
