Police officer distracts little girl while her family is pulled out from car crash

The officer holds one of the girls who was in the crash and talks to her as his colleagues work to dismantle the wrecked car behind

Police officers are often known to be brutal but a recent photo that has gone viral shows the compassionate side of the force.
Captured by passerby Jessica Matrious, it shows the policeman holding the young girl in his arms and doing his best to draw her attention away from the wreckage of the car still containing members of her family, which lies upside down in the background.
According to reports, the accident occured in the United States when an SUV reportedly blew a tyre and the driver lost control. While the fathe succumbed to injuries on the spot, the mother and a child were airlifted to the hospital. The three remaining children were taken by ambulance.
