Heavy rains in Telangana, AP for next three days
Nizamabad recorded the maximum rainfall of 9 cm each
Hyderabad: “Fairly widespread rains are being recorded in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana,” IMD officials said about the current state of the southwest monsoon.
“Nearly 75 per cent of the stations in Coastal AP and TS are receiving rainfall,” said IMD-Hyderabad assistant meteorologist Narasimha Rao. As per IMD reports of Thursday, “The low pressure area over west-central Bay of Bengal, off north Coastal AP, persists and the system may become a well-marked low pressure over the next 24 hours. Conditions are favourable for further advance of the monsoon.”
The IMD predicted “Heavy to very heavy rainfall” in isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Nellore and Prakasam of Coastal AP and heavy rainfall in isolated places in of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar Warangal, Nalgonda and Khammam in TS for the next three days. In Telangana, Sathupalle and Mulakalapalle mandals of Khammam and Makloor from Nizamabad recorded the maximum rainfall of 9 cm each.
