IND vs BAN, First ODI: Rain set to hamper match?
Mirpur: Rain played spoilsport during most of the one-off Test between hosts Bangladesh and India, and going into the first of the three ODIs, the situation doesn’t look bright. According to weather reports, chances are that rain gods may hamper the first one-day international between the two nations at the Shere Bangla National stadium here on Thursday.
Heavy thunderstorms accompanied with strong winds are expected to lash Mirpur in the evening and the Bangladesh Met Department has even confirmed the development, according to television reports.

But fans can heave a sigh of relief as the three ODIs have reserve days attached for all their games. If a match is abandoned or cannot be completed on the first day, play will resume on the following day from the point where it left off.

Team India’s star left hander Suresh Raina was happy that unlike the one-off Test last week, when more than nine sessions were lost due to rain, the ODI series has reserve days for all three games. "It's a good thing, but it means we have to plan for play to split on two days. The rain is not in our hands,” said Raina.
The only Test ended up in an expected draw, thanks to the rain that allowed only 184.2 overs to be completed.
