Telugu Desam tells ACB of cash for development

Hyderabad: In a tit for tat move, Telangana Telugu Desam legislators have complained to the Anti-Corruption Bureau that a “cash for development” scandal had been unleashed by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and ministers T. Harish Rao and K.T. Rama Rao to intimidate party MLAs into joining the Telangana Rashtra Samiti.
Telugu Desam MLA’s intimidated for 6 months
Telangana TD legislators on Wednesday met ACB Director General A. K. Khan and complained against the Chief Minister and the two ministers. They said TD legislators had been intimidated for the last six months, offered sops and funds for constituency development to force them to join the ruling party.
TD legislators K. P. Vivekanand Goud (Quthbullapur) and S. Rajender Reddy (Narayanpet), joined by other party legislators, in a written complaint to the ACB, requested the authorities to book appropriate cases against the three under various provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Mr Goud said he had received several calls from Mr Harish Rao and Mr Rama Rao, asking him to join the party to get more funds for his constituency.
